Sri Lanka Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) in Colombo took into custody Wednesday three Tamil civilians staying in a lodge located in Kotahena, sources in Colombo said. The arrested civilians are suspected to be escaped detainees from one of the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) internment camps in Vavuniya, the sources added.

Police said they are investigating to find out how these three IDPs escaped from Vavuniya camp without informing the authorities there.They further said they suspect that these Tamils were supporters of LTTE.

The arrestees are said to be making arrangements to leave the country, the sources added.
