As his DMK registered a resounding victory in the Lok Sabha polls, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today sought immediate Indian intervention to stop the war in Sri Lanka and find a political solution to the ethnic problem in that country.
In separate letters to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Karunanidhi said "a number of countries, including US and UK," besides the United Nations, "are reported to be very concerned about heavy loss of human lives in Sri Lanka and the plight of Sri Lankans." They have been prevailing upon the Sri Lankan government for a peaceful resolution of issues, he said. It was appropriate for India "at this critical juncture to intervene more effectively for stopping further killings of Tamils and find a lasting political solution," he said."I urge the government of India to kindly take all necessary steps for preventing continuance of destruction of human lives and property and ensuring peace in Sri Lanka. Any delay in this regard will nullify the tremendous amount of constructive steps we have taken so far," he said.

This man talks about " tremendous constructive steps that we have taken so far".
Those tremendous steps are from his side " writing love letters to Delhi", calling LTTE terrorists, his fasting campaign between breakfast and noon meal, after all the carnage advicing Tamils to accept solutions within united srilanka etc.
From Delhi it is "Destroy LTTE even if means genocide of hundreds of civilians".
These are "definitely" constructive efforts!

The whole world is changing... President Obama won the elections by campaigning for "Change". Please let TN also experience the "Change" - It is time for someone who is young, healthy & energetic. It is time for you go....
If you really had any intentions to save the SL Tamils then you would have acted wisely about 6 months ago. That was your last chance. Now how can you worry about the tens of thousands of Tamil civilians who would be dying for the satisfaction of your masters in Delhi. If you are worried then whom you are loyal to. Many guess that you are a very loyal servant to the Delhi masters and especially to the Italian Madam. So keep it up... suck up to the central government... that's what you are good at it and that’s what the masters want it too...
