AIADMK General Secretary Jayalalithaa on Saturday strongly criticised the composition of the MPs’ delegation that left for Sri Lanka, saying it was not an all-party delegation but a “ruling coalition delegation from Tamil Nadu.”
No member of an opposition party or a journalist was in the team. There were no independent observers either, she said in a statement.
Ms. Jayalalithaa wanted to know whether the delegation would get to see the real camps.
The tragedy of Tamils in Sri Lanka was being trivialised into a comedy, she said.
