S. Pathmanathan, Head of LTTE's International Relations Department says Prabakaran alive but said that he cannot disclose the whereabouts for security reasons, Nick Paton Walsh of Channel 4 reports.
The Sri Lankan army officially announced on Monday that it has killed Prabakaran, Supremo of Tamil Tigers, and Sri Lankan people celebrated the news with fire crackers.
It said it had surrounded Velupillai Prabhakaran in a small patch of jungle in the north east of the country, and claimed the Tigers have now been defeated after a 26-year war.
But S. Pathmanathan, spokesman for the Tigers has told Channel 4 News that the rebels will not surrender and that their commander is still alive.
Meanwhile, the British embassy in Sri Lanka has been the target of protesters who are complaining about this country's criticism of their military campaign against the Tigers and killing of civilians.

This news that the LTTE supremo has been killed is as old as the disinformation campaign that has and is being carried out for the past sixty years. I guess this is in keeping with the tall stories written in the so cslled Sinhala classics that trace the ancestories of the Sinhala race. These are the Mahavamsa, Chuluvamsa Tiripitaka etc.
This is also to distract foreign interests in the shady goings on of Mahinda,Gothabaya,Fonseka,Nanayakara and Rambukwella. partners in the really worst looting of the Sri Lankan coffers, distracting the peasants by whipping up anti Tamil hysteria. Why has 'nt the government of SriLanka (GOSL) explained to the international community why they barred any international media from going to the war front. This was no more dangerous than the jungles of Vietnam, or the streets of Iraq.They also violently prohibited independent journalist from releasing their own casualy figures. They have cunningly disposed of the thousands of soldiers who are the sons of the peasantry to be cannon fodder, by burying them in mass graves in the jungles of the Vanni. They have distracted the parents by then sending the Military Police to their houses and asking the very parents where their sons were claiming they have deserted. The parents dont get the contracted compensation, they will maintain silence because of shame.
Why is a so called democratic government afraid of the truth of their casualties? Could it be because they were extremely high?
What are the Indian special forces doing in Sri Lanka? Is it because the highest levels of the Congress Government worried that the truth will come out about a half Italian's involvement in her own husbands contract killing?
Are they worried that the truth about Banki Moons special envoy and closest aide Nambiar who was bought by the GOSL?Did'nt the UN see a conflict of interest sending an Indian Diplomat to discuss a sensitive issue involving the Indian government? Or about Nambiar's own brother who was employed by Gothabaya as a military consultant?The younger Nambiar incidentally praised the bufoon Fonseka as a" military Commander, par excellence.
Were the media denied access to the war front to prevent news like the SLA armour running over men women and children while they hunkered down in the trenches?
Ban ki Moon and indeed Nambiar brothers ( who are Keralite and anti Tamil) should be investigated for bribery and conflict of interest. Whose report was slanted heavily towards the GOSL and heard in camera.

India is doing nothing to save atleast Tamil civilians
Why Indian government is not doing anything to save the Tamilians in SL. Tamils in India should ask the

Enimies if Tamil Eelam made Pirabakaras as God.
Normaly enymies of TE say that Pirabakaran has a semi God status among his foloowers. Actually its Indian IPKF and Lanakan regimes made his reincarnation possible. During his last 30 years struggle many time he is killed and reborn.

Silent Speculators!
The Indian govenment did nothing to save innocent tamil civilians. Instead it helped racist sinhalese forces by giving them military aid. Tamilnadu politicians will hve time going to NewDelhi to discuss about ministerial allocations for their party, but they will not rush congress government to stop the genocide of tamils in Srilanka.
