Formation of Provisional Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam

E-mail Print PDF

Mr Selvarasa Pathmanathan, the Head of International Relations for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam while explaining the necessity for a Provisional Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam has issued a media release today announcing the establishment of a working committee under the leadership of legal advisor, Mr Rudrakumar Viswanathan to make all necessary pre-arrangements to form such a Government.

“The struggle of the people of Tamil Eelam, for their right to self rule has reached a new stage.  It is time now for us to move forward with our political vision towards our freedom, bearing in mind the practical realities in our homeland.  Understanding the need for a common work plan based on a unified policy, we had called upon our people for their advice and opinions.  Incorporating the advice provided by our people and the advice of our sectoral experts, we have deemed as necessary the formation of a Provisional Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam to take forward the next phase of the struggle. To make all necessary pre-arrangements to form such a Government, a working committee has been established under the leadership of our legal advisor, Mr Rudrakumar Viswanathan.  We call on all Tamil people and Tamil organisations to provide this committee their whole hearted support and assistance”.  Mr Selvarasa Pathmanathan, the Head of International Relations for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam has stated in a media release today.

Mr Pathmanthan has further stated that, “the political aspirations of the people of Tamil Eelam were built on the foundations of a Tamil Nation, Homeland, and the right to self rule. These were expressed explicitly through the Vaddukoddai resolution of 1976, during the negotiations at Thimpu in 1985 and in the proposal for an Interim Self Governing Authority in 2003.  These aspirations should be kept alive, nurtured and strengthened.

At the same time, in our homeland where our people are subjected to a life under Sri Lanka’s military domination, it is not practical for these people to vocally express their political aspirations freely.  The need for us to function understanding this pragmatic reality is imperative.  Under these circumstances the Tamil Nation should implement two parallel operations to achieve a common vision under a common agreement.

“The Provisional Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam to be established shall operate representing the political aspirations and being the voice and conscience of the people of Tamil Eelam in the international arena.  At the same time, the operational plan implemented in our homeland, the under the leadership of the Tamil National Alliance that represents the political aspirations of the people of Tamil Eelam, shall bear in mind the existential circumstances on the ground.  There shall be a link between the two operational plans.

“The established working committee which is to function within democratic principles shall espouse the details of its operational plans to the people and maintain an active link with the people to capture the opinions and aspirations of our people.  In order for this working committee to achieve its goals in whole I call on all Tamil People to work in unity” Mr Pathmanathan further stated in the media release.

There is an urgency to form a transnational Provisional Government of Tamil Eelam. I hope all expatriate Tamils will express their support to this idea by responding and encouraging this effort and give our whole hearted support to working committee under the leadership of Mr Rudrakumar Viswanathan.

It is refreshing to see that the Participatory Democracy that was practiced in all civilian sectors in the state governed by the LTTE is now being applied in the formation of the Provisional Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam.
“My wish is for our society to take form as a self sufficient, sustainable economic entity; my wish is for our people to have the right to govern themselves as a democratic government. In this new society the economic equality should spread in the midst of all working people.“

Lets ask NATO to intervene, They did that in former Yugoslavia And in Iraq, Crotia , Mazedonia, Kosovo are all free countries without the help of UN. We do not have to go through UN, Former US President George Bush Said UN is not powelesss before he invade Iraq without the approval of UN.Its obvious the top brass of UN is favouring SriLankan government for what ever reasons. We will form a State that gives equal rights to enjoy their fredom.

Pragmatic approach

In hindsight we should have been united. however it is not too late to support for Tamil nation/eelam through one voice that is Mr Rudrakumar Visuwanathan ‘s voice , I think for sure he is the right man he will rise to the occasion to make Tamil people’s dream come true. We must garner support from international community through well structured committee which should be made of intellectuals and highly educated people drawn from different disciplines such as political, legal, medical, media and economical backgrounds. These people on the committee should be able to challenge anyone and everyone who dares to challenge any aspect of the basis for the formation of Tamil Eelam.

We are very resourceful community, especially Tamil Diaspora and we can definitely make a case for the formation of Tamil Nation which will help us to rule ourselves and progress in every field exponentially. We must remember we ruled the people, not being ruled.

I strongly believe such declaration should have been accompanied with recognition by a state or organisation like UN.

·I strongly believe such declaration should have been accompanied with recognition by a state or organisation like UN.
·Above is a necessary condition for set up of a operations head quarters.
·Without the above, it will be only a paper tiger.

·I HOPE SUCH ARRANGEMENTS ARE BEING MADE at least now. Otherwise we will only end up by self congratulation.
·WHY ANNONCEMENT CAME BEFORE SUCH ARRANGEMENT??????
·48 hours gone no state or body seems to be recognising the declaration???????????

good move.

Start winning hearts and minds of non-Tamils. Take a leaf from the Tibeteans and His Highness the Dalai Lama. Please leave behind the violence to others to perpetuate.

I am certain the Tamils are capable of rising above all that to reflect the great culture, litreature and history that is yours and only yours!

God bless.

De-Facto State of our Home Land should be preserved for the people in our Home Land hence, formal request was made to the PTGOTE [Provisional Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam] to confirm their action plan but no such assurance is forthcoming from them.

Regarding the kidnap of KP, a request was made to PTGOTE-UK to carry out the following:

1.Establish to the world that LTTE was and is the sole & true representative of the Tamils in our Home Land and the same was never disputed by International Countries; hence they desired LTTE to represent the Tamils of our Home Land in Peace Negotiations; as such, Sri Lanka was unable to proscribe the LTTE until recently.

2.Establish that therefore the sovereignty of the Tamils in Sri Lanka is always with LTTE; hence the LTTE was never been destroyed and will never be destroyed; therefore the De-Facto State should be preserved for the people in our Home Land.

3.Establish that the Armed Struggle of the Tamils has ended and as such, the Sri Lankan Government can not continue to harm the Tamils in our Home Land under the false campaign of Cleansing Terrorism.

4.Establish that the International Countries should accept that the political issues in Sri Lanka must be solved by political measures; hence the LTTE has now ended the Armed Struggle.

5.Declare to the world that, similar to the earlier peace negotiations, the International Countries must accept that the Tamils in our Home Land can only be represented by the LTTE in any proposed political measures & negotiations; hence the De-Facto State that was established by LTTE needs to be extended abroad as PTGOTE on behalf of our Home Land.

6.Establish that the Sri Lankan Government committed serious war crimes and murdered most of the LTTE leaders and the only senior member of the LTTE alive is KP and he is the only representative of LTTE available to take forwards the political measures towards the political settlement of the Tamils in our Home Land; this is accepted by Diplomats, Civil Organisations and Medias; as such, it had become inevitable for KP to meet international diplomats and media representatives.

7.Establish that the commitment of KP as above leads to the exposure of his whereabouts to the Sri Lankan Intelligence; hence, those diplomats are bound to take all measures to protect KP from the Sri Lankan Government which is attempting to destroy the progress of the political measures & negotiations by kidnapping KP.

In this regard, PTGOTE-UK was also requested to carry out the following:

a)Take responsibility to coordinate all the “Tamil Groups” that exist in the world and to make a “Common Political Statement” highlighting the above on behalf of KP and the people in Home Land.

b)Take responsibility to collate the relevant evidence from all Tamil Groups to establish the above and to organise an “Efficient Committee” from the Coordinated Members of the Tamil Groups and to draft the “Common Political Statement”.

c)Take responsibility to release the Common Political Statement worldwide through the Tamils Groups and to organise the PTGOTE ACTION GROUP from those efficient committee members of the Tamil Groups to avoid the members to be selected by the escaped soldiers and other pronounced LTTE Diaspora Leaders.

d)Take responsibility to make due contacts with the Diplomats, Civil Organisations and Journalists who had meetings with KP and make arrangements for the members of Efficient Committee to meet those and to convince them to make similar statements in world Medias.

e)Take responsibility to pool all available Tamil legal resources (worldwide) as a joint group to provide legal support to KP.

HOWEVER, THE PTGOTE-UK REFUSED TO CONSIDER THE ABOVE! WHY? ARE THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN POWER AND AUTHORTY? LET US UNITE! LET US DEMAND THEOSE LEADERSHIPS TO CONSIDER THE ABOVE!

Election is over

Okay the election is over; many contestants spend lots of money and time to win the election. Are they going to speak in Tamil, when they go to the UN. Because a cashier at a petrol station had been elected and she can not speak English. This election is a joke, that woman is from NW region. God help her and the Tamils.
