Sri Lanka has caused "untold suffering" as it fights Tamil Tiger rebels in what is believed to be the endgame of Asia's longest-running war, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday.
"I think that the Sri Lankan government knows that the entire world is very disappointed that in its efforts to end what it sees as 25 years of conflict, it is causing such untold suffering," Clinton told lawmakers, referring to the thousands of civilians trapped in the war zone.Comments (5)

Yes, There are tererists in Sri lanka. The Govt and their forces are acting as a terrorists in Sri Lanka. Killing Tamil innocent civilians in the safety zone and blaming LTTE then gives false information to the out side world. They are running the country like family business. Mr. 7-Eleven (Defense minister) of Sri Lanka should learn how to speak in English with media.

Tamils' untold suffering
USA should intervene in Sri Lanka's longest war. UN or USA should not listen to Sri Lanka anymore. Tamils had enough, enough, enough. More than 60 years, Sinhalese and Tamils could not live together peacefully. It is time to solve the problem and let Tamils live peacefully in their own land. Why didn't Tamils from war zone move to what the Sri Lankan government called safe zone? In safe zone, women and girls are being raped by Sri Lankan armies and men and young boys are being used as human shield to clear land mine. Tamils are in untold suffering.
