Situation Report [Apr28]: Heavy battle from last night: hospital under heavy shell attack

Since last night heavy battle reported in Mullivaikkal area. A fierce battle going on in the areas between Mullivaikkal and Iraddaivaikkal said Tamil National Reporter.

While the battle is going on, the Sri Lankan Government angered by the international pressure for ceasefire is turning their fury on civilians by firing indiscriminately in to civilian targets. The only remaining make shift hospital was primarily targeted. The ward at Mullivaikkal primary health centre where the already injured patients were admitted came under heavy shell attack. A number of injured civilians who were being treated in the ward were killed and many others including health staff were injured in the attack.

Sri Lankan Army using all kind of weapons, artilleries, mortars, Multi-Barrel Rocket Launchers (MBRL), RPGs (are these all small weapons?) have opened fire on civilian targets from early morning with vengeance to finish off the Tamils before international pressure mounts,  said our reporter.

Dozens were killed and hundreds injured today. He said dead bodies are strewn along the roads and injured also wailing on roads as no one to take care of them. All the people have taken cover under the bunkers and scared to come out. Many of the wounded may succumb to their injuries.

If international community has any regards for humanity, it should act immediately without only showing their concern in words.

The callous and the most heinuos conduct of the Srilanka Terrorist Government are not a news anymore nor surprising to anyone. Yesterday's and last night bombing expedition after promising to stop the aerial bobardment and the use of heavy weapon should not come as a surprise to the Eelam Tamils. However the Government's excess and present conduct are testimonies to their desperation, desperation to get the the Tamil Tigers to 'Surrender', a 'dream' that will never materialise. Rajapakse has failed miserbly like his many predecessors and it is about time that he raise his white flag and give up his mad endevours.

This barbaric conduct of this so called singala Chavanist president is not acceptable by any decent human being. This to me is a demonstration that the enemy has recognised Eelam sovereignty and from this day forth, Tamil Eelam has been liberated to pre 1833 position.
Tamils have lost lives not in vein but regained their sovereignty and I urge any country that respects human rights should see clearly what was faced by Tamils for over 55 years and recognise Tanil Eelam now.

Why do we have such organizations as UN & OBAMA admin and other so called IC organization in this world when they are absolutely not doing anything to stop the evil happenings in this part of the world. Im sorry to say this, but it is a shame, that Rajapakse is doing all this crime and rejects the ceasefire calls of all these higher authorities. And then everyone keeps quiet until the tamil desaporas starts and urge and plead again. Its like they are waiting for the GOSL to complete its mission of killing the maximum of the tamils and say I saved and rescued the tamils and destroyed the terrorits.

It is imperative to understand that LTTE is not a terrorist group. They only rose up to the challenge of the SL govt. They were branded as terrorist because the SL govt. had the power to propaganda among the western world. The have been representing Tamils and they are only asking and fighting for the mere basics, the basic freedom for Tamils.

The world should know by now who the real terrorists are. Only now, the terrorist activity of the SL government is exposed to the whole world. All these years this is what the Tamils have been facing in a smaller scale and who knows the oppression that the Tamils have been facing since the day the British handed over the country. Honorable men and women of nations, please, STOP India fueling the massacre. Tamils in Sri Lanka can only give you gratitude that is all they have to give to you.
