The bombardment on safe zone by artillery, mortar, multi barrel rocket launchers and cluster bombs continued till late afternoon. Intensified attack was reported in the areas between Mullivaikkal and Iraddaivaikkal. Aerial attack also reported. Thousands of shells, rockets, and bullets were fired in to the safe zone by Sri Lankan Forces.
People were almost all the time inside the bunker till evening. But many newly displaced did not have bunkers. More and more civilians are moving further inwards to Mullivaikkal South area.
Today more than 200 civilians were killed and hundreds injured. 204 severely injured civilians were admitted to hospital in the afternoon. 29 died after admission.
ICRC Ship arrived at around 7 am but even then battle continued. ICRC ship brought 30 MT foods with rice, oil, and sugar. The amount is barely enough for 3, 4 days only.
The food supplied today is enough to be rationed among people as 500g rice, 20g oil and 20g sugar per head.

look what is in the photograph. i am a tamil who lived in colombo for 3 generations. what is happening now in srilanka would you ???? it doesn't matter who you are , will you let this happen to your own family. We Tamils never seen a begger you guys made us beggars. i cannot say you sinhaleese because i know there are moderate sinhaleese i do not want to insult them. Mahinda what on earth are you trying to do us tamils .
